The Royals Plot
After the accidental death of his eldest son, the British King Simon (Vincent Regan) retired in mourning. While his younger son Liam (William Moseley) succeeds as heir to the throne, his wife, Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley), with an iron hand takes care of all affairs of the crown. Liam struggles with his new burden, but at least he can rely on his closest confidant, his longtime bodyguard Marcus (Ukweli Roach), and his new love, the bourgeois Ophelia (Merritt Patterson). His younger sister Eleanor (Alexandra Park) in turn rebels against the rigid farm labels. She is extremely intelligent, but regularly hits the headlines with drug excesses and wild parties. While Queen Helena unscrupulously tries to control the lives of her two children and protect the crown's reputation, Simon's envious brother Cyrus (Jake Maskall) is waiting for an opportunity to grab power himself.
