About TV show Happy Valley season 3
Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) works for the police in a small town in West Yorkshire, where she deals with all sorts of petty criminals every day, and especially the massive drug problem in the region. But she does not have it easy either privately. Since her daughter was raped and committed suicide a few months later, she is raising her fictitious grandson Ryan (Rhys Connah), along with her sister Clare (Siobhan Finneran), who is currently recovering from a heroin addiction. One day, when Catherine sees Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton), her daughter's alleged rapist, on the street, the old wounds quickly break open again. At the same time, there is the kidnapping of the daughter of the successful businessman Nevison Gallagher (George Costigan), in which next Nevisons accountant Kevin Weatherill (Steve Pemberton) and the drug dealer Ashley (Joe Armstrong), including Tommy is involved. Soon Catherine gets the kidnappers on the loose and is from now on determined to Tommy once and for all arrest.
Kevin Weatherill (Steve Pemberton) arrives at the police station and reports to police officer Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) a crime he himself planned: kidnapping his boss's daughter and paying a ransom for a private school for his children.
