About TV show Arrow season 7
After a shipwreck, in which his father died, the playboy Oliver Queen stranded on the lonely island Lian Yu. He was officially considered dead and was later considered the only survivor. At the beginning of the series, Oliver is found on the island, where he seems to have spent the last five years on his own. Olivers father gave him before his death a list with names of people who exploited their hometown Starling City. Plagued with guilt, he told his son that he was not the person Oliver thought he knew. Oliver should necessarily survive to make good his father's mistakes and to hold the evil accountable.
The series Arrow was developed by Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti. After presenting the script to The CW, in January 2012, he commissioned a pilot episode. The production companies include Bonanza Productions Inc., Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Most of them are produced in Vancouver and Victoria, Canada. Aerial views of the skyline of the fictional city of Starling City come from major cities around the world. So the skyline of Frankfurt with the Commerzbank Tower can be seen repeatedly and the district of Minato in Tokyo with the Tokyo Tower in the background. Further shots will show the historic Back Bay area of Boston and the Singapore skyline.
The casting began in early February 2012 with the signing of Stephen Amell for the eponymous lead role. Later that month, David Ramsey, Susanna Thompson, Colin Donnell, Paul Blackthorne, Katie Cassidy, and Willa Holland were cast for the rest of the lead roles. After watching the pilot episode The CW gave the series green light in May 2012 and initially ordered 13 episodes. After only two episodes aired, the station commissioned ten more episodes for the first season, resulting in 23 episodes.
A similarly fast decision was made by the station in February 2013, when he extended Arrow early for a second season. For the second season, there were some changes to the cast, so Colin Donnell left the series, while Colton Haynes, Emily Bett Rickards and Manu Bennett promoted to leading actors.
A third season of the series was commissioned on February 13, 2014, and broadcast in the US on The CW since October 8.
