Young Sheldon season 2 Plot
East Texas, 1989: Nine-year-old Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) is well protected by his extremely conservative and Christian family. Although the highly-intelligent boy often finds himself incomprehensible with his enthusiasm and knowledge of his father George Sr. (Lance Barber) and his two siblings George Jr. (Montana Jordan) and Missy (Raegan Revord) regularly incites to white heat, he is always the boundless love and support of his mother Mary (Zoe Perry) for sure. He can use that especially well, as he already comes to high school despite his young age and offers him there because of his idiosyncratic nature not only with his new classmates, but also with the teaching staff rejecting a lot of rejection ...
Spin-off to the sitcom hit "The Big Bang Theory" about the childhood of the brilliant nerd Dr. Dr. Sheldon Cooper, whose actor Jim Parsons acts as narrator and producer of the offshoot.
The idea for Young Sheldon came from Jim Parsons, the adult Sheldon Cooper's actor in The Big Bang Theory, whom he suggested to the producers of the series. In autumn 2016, the idea of Chuck Lorre and his team was brought to CBS, who then commissioned the series in March 2017. After the pilot episode of September 25, 2017, they ordered a complete season with 22 episodes.
Young Sheldon is - unlike The Big Bang Theory - produced without audience and thus without laughter.
