About TV show Versailles season 3
In 1667 the 28-year-old French king Louis XIV (George Blagden) decides to build the chateau of Versailles to a splendid palace, from which he will henceforth exercise his rule. But the project, which primarily serves the demonstration of power, is decisively hampered by permanent financial bottlenecks and the hostility of numerous members of its own court. In the midst of various intrigues Ludwig tries to push the construction project with an iron hand. However, he also has to deal with his younger brother, Philipp I d'Orléans (Alexander Vlahos), who is usually left behind in important processes, who himself strives for fame and influence, and with whom the king has a passionate relationship.
Versailles is a French-Canadian television series, the premiere of which was broadcast on 16 November 2015 by Canal+. With a budget of around 30 million euros, the series is the most expensive series project ever realized in Europe.
