The Voice Concept
For the first phase of the TV broadcast, the so-called "blind auditions", more than 100 participants are usually invited. There the candidates, accompanied by a live band, have to sing before the audience on a stage. About 40% to 60% of all lectures are shown on television. The four members of the jury can only hear the singer, but not see, because they sit in a revolving chair with their backs to the stage. You can vote for a candidate by pressing a button during his lecture to turn her chair to the stage. The contestant will take a round if he receives at least one of the four jury votes. Among the jury members who have turned around for him, the candidate chooses his coach for the other rounds. In the Blind Auditions, each of the four coaches is to have an equally large group of candidates. Depending on the country and version, it consists of 10 to 27 candidates.

The concept was subsequently adopted in many countries around the world, including the American edition The Voice in the spring of 2011.
