About TV show The Knick season 2
The previous season revealed professional and personal drama of Dr. Thackery – chief surgeon at the Knickerbocker Hospital in New York at the beginning of the 20th century. The staff of the hospital consisted of professional and innovative doctors and nurses who however had to struggle to overcome the then-current poor situation in medicine. Dr. Thackery – exceptionally talented and respected surgeon in the operation room is at the same time a drug addict taking cocaine and opium throughout day and night. Another character – Dr. Edwards is an educated and well-trained black doctor whose drama lies in the everyday fight for respect in the hospital and the city.
Recently revealed trailer gives some hints of what to expect: some men behind the hospital fence with the sign of quarantine in San Francisco. Although no further details of the plot have been revealed, it’s obvious the series will depict the medical and societal cases involving personal dramas.
The Knick is an extraordinary, sincere and thought-provoking TV series which speaks about the vital issues in a down-to-earth manner. It’s hard to watch it not because of lots of gore present, but mostly due to the depressing content. But the fans are already looking forward to the air date! Keep an eye on the updates and we’ll remind you of the release date one day before it broadcast.
We loved that historical medical drama show launched in 2014. In July 2015 it was announced the series is renewed for its 2nd 10-episode season slated for the premier date on October 16. It will be directed by a magnificent Steve Sodenbergh and will star Clive Owen.
