About TV show Suits season 8
Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) is one of Manhattan's best corporate lawyers. When he is asked by his bosses to look for a new partner, only one candidate meets his high standards: Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), whom he meets by chance. So he gives him the job. The problem: Ross has dropped out of college, earns a living on the edge of legality, and despite having more skills than any Harvard graduate, he does not have a lawyer's license. To save their jobs, Harvey and Mike have to perform a charade in front of their boss Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) and the rest of the firm. Fortunately, the two are a good team and quickly successful, because in one they agree: A case is not won in the courtroom, but before!
Suits was developed during the author strike in 2007 by Aaron Korsh. The series was originally intended to be a half-hour format and play on Wall Street, where Korsh had worked for several years, but was then relocated to the legal community. During the development phase in April 2010, the series became known as A Legal Mind. In May 2010, the station USA Network ordered a pilot episode of the series. The main role of Mike Ross was filled in July 2010 with Patrick J. Adams. In late July, Gabriel took power as Harvey Specter. Rick Hoffman arrived in mid-August. Meghan Markle and Gina Torres joined the main cast in late August. Sarah Rafferty completed the main cast. The pilot episode was shot in autumn 2010 in New York City.
On January 19, 2011 USA Network ordered a first season with twelve episodes. It was filmed between April 25, 2011 and August 12, 2011 in Toronto, Ontario. By the end of the first season, the former show runner Sean Jablonski was replaced by Aaron Korsh, the creator of the series. Jablonski was in the first season Show Runner, since Korsh had no production experience so far.
The series was extended on 11 August 2011 for another season with 16 episodes. In October 2012, the transmitter Suits extended by a third season, also with 16 episodes. On October 24, 2013, USA Network announced the extension of a fourth season with 16 episodes. In August 2014, the series was extended for a fifth season, which also covers 16 episodes. The order for a 16-part sixth season was made in July 2015, after broadcasting only one episode of the fifth season. On August 3, 2016 it was announced that the series was extended by a seventh season. This should include 16 episodes as usual. In November 2017, USA Network announced the exit Meghan Markles from the series after the seventh season. The reason given was the engagement of Markle with Prince Harry.
On the cable channel USA Network, the series is one of the most successful formats in terms of audience ratings.
