In the first episode of the first season is a music video entitled "Dream of the 90's" by Jason from LA (Fred Armisen). The second episode begins with a parody of interior design - 2 artists spray, paint, embroider, scratch songbirds on the goods of a boutique to give them a more fresh and artistic look. The intro of Episode 4 ironizes an MTV trailer for a festival. Episode 6 starts with an image film about "unemployment".

Then begins the title story, which is narrative in parts through the whole episode and pursues an action. In the meantime, further sketches are to be seen, which have no direct relation to the title story, but which continue beyond the episodes in a loose sequence. The series as a whole does not pursue a chronologically progressive action, rather it rather ranks states of states of the Indiescene, the sketches and title histories are self-contained.
