Documentary Now! is an American fake documentary genre television series broadcast by IFC since 2015. Created and written by members of the Saturday Night Live cast Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Seth Meyers, the series, draws on famous documentaries in the history of cinema, making a parody-homage. The only recurring actors are the same Armisen and Hader. Helen Mirren takes part in the series in the role of the presenter of the documentary series. In addition to Armisen, Hader and Meyers, some episodes were written with the collaboration of comedian John Mulaney and screenwriter Erik Kenward, also like the creators and directors with previous SNL experience. All the episodes were directed by Rhys Thomas and Alex Buono. The series has been nominated for both seasons at the Emmy and Writers Guild of America Awards.
