About TV show Arrow season 8
Arrow is an American action series based on the DC comic figure Green Arrow, produced since 2012 by Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Television for The CW. The series is about Oliver Queen, a billionaire and major industrialist who has set himself the task of freeing his hometown Starling City from criminals. For this reason he accepts the secret identity Arrow and lives from then on a secret double life.
As the sole survivor of a shipwreck, the playboy and billionaire son Oliver Queen leads a Robinson Crusoe life on a desert island for five years. He becomes a master archers. After being rescued, Queen returns to his hometown of Starling City in a spiritually purified manner. He decides to put an end to the rising crime rate. While playing his former role in public as a spoiled snob during the day, he combats crime and corruption with a bow and arrow in secret identity at night. At the same time he tries to land again with ex-girlfriend Laurel. Their father, a detective, is skeptical about the arrival of a new superhero in Starling City.
The superhero drama is by Andrew Kreisberg and Green Lantern authors Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim. It is based on comic book 'Green Arrow' from the DC universe, which already has its appearances in "Smallville". "Arrow" is not a spin-off, but an independent series. A link, however, is director David Nutter, who already staged the "Smallville" pilots. Guest stars include John Barrowman ("Torchwood"). His first appearance was 'Green Arrow' in 1941 in 'More Fun Comics'. In Germany, the 'Green Arrow' was first published in the 1980s.
