About TV show Star Trek: Discovery season 3
Star Trek: Discovery is an American science-fiction television series and the sixth real-movie television series to star in the fictional Star Trek universe. Mainly in fan circles, it is abbreviated DSC. The pilot episode aired the US television station CBS on September 24, 2017 for the first time.
The year is 2256 - one hundred years after the adventures of Captain Archer and ten years before those of Captain Kirk. Starfleet Officer Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) is involved in the events surrounding the outbreak of an interstellar war between the internally fragmented Klingon empire and the Federation.
Burnham's life has been very unusual: in a previous Klingon attack on an earth-volcanic research facility, her parents lost their lives, and Vulcan diplomat Sarek - the father of Spock - saved her life as a child and became her foster-father. Michael was the first person to visit volcanic training facilities and grew up with a largely volcanic view of the universe. Burnham then joined the Starfleet at the end of the 2240s.
Most of the events in which she plays a crucial role are experienced by Burnham aboard the Starfleet ship, U.S.S. Discovery under the command of the unusual Captain Gabriel Lorca.
