With Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey dated for this year, there is interest in knowing the current state of development of 1666: Amsterdam, the other adventure born from the mind of the creator of the Assassin's Creed saga, and according to Patrice Desilets himself the video game it could restart its development.
"I'm thinking about it and it will probably change a bit, in fact, it's possible that the project starts from scratch, of course, 1666: Amsterdam will be done," he said at a talk at the Reboot Develop held in Croatia these days. The creative thinks that all the long process of gestation of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, on the other hand, will also help his new project since some of the concepts of the first one could be adapted without excessive problems.
1666: Amsterdam allowed itself to be seen in a conceptual teaser filtered several years ago, but since then it has not left much news. The videogame began its development with THQ Montreal, but its closure caused the license to fall into the hands of Ubisoft until in 2016 Desilets could recover this IP of historical setting.
