Plot & Details
Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game by the Polish developer studio CD Projekt RED. It will appear for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. Based on the pen - and - paper RPG Cyberpunk 2020, it plays 57 years later in the dystopian city of Night City in California, an open world with six different regions.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person action RPG in which players control V, a mercenary whose gender, hairstyle, face, body type, modifications and clothing are customizable. Clothing changes how V interacts with non-player characters that are also available for romantic and sexual relationships. The character traits (Strength, Constitution, Intellect, Reflex, Technique and Cool) are customizable for the character classes. These consist mainly of: "NetRunner" (cracker), "Techie" (machines) and "Solo" (combat). V must consult a Ripper Doc to update and buy cyberware implants at the expense of Eurodollar; "Moreso" in black markets for military capabilities. Colors, as usual in role-playing games, indicate the rarity of equipment, from unusual (green) to epic (purple). V should move in a very versatile way: normally on the ground, but also along the walls, taking cover and aiming. He can also jump, make a double jump and slide along the ground. When equipped with arm blades, V can climb walls, but can also do melee strikes, as with other melee weapons. There are three types of ranged weapons: Power (default), Tech (which can penetrate walls and enemies), and Smart (with self-targeting projectiles). These can be adapted and modified. Ranged weapons are equipped to bounce off the missiles towards the target (rebound shot) and slow them down (with a reflex amplifier) in Bullet Time. Four types of damage can be added: physical, thermal, electromagnetic, and chemical (identifying enemies by scanning with a bionic eye). Weaponsmiths repair and upgrade weapons.
V can move freely in the open world metropolis Night City. It consists of six regions: the Corporate City Center, Watson, which is inhabited by immigrants, the luxurious Westbrook, the Heywood suburb, the Pacifica infested with gangs, and the industrial Santo Domingo. He is on foot and with various vehicles on the road, including motorcycles. The vehicles can be controlled, both from the first person as well as in the third person. Autonomous cars allow V to focus on the fight instead of shooting. Pedestrians can be run over. The whole day-night cycle and the dynamic weather affect the behavior of non-player characters. Apartments can be purchased and used as a base where V fetches weapons, moves, uses a computer, and brings non-player characters for sexual activities. The game has non-English speaking characters. Players who do not speak the languages can buy translator implants to better understand them (depending on the implant design, the quality of the translations will vary). "Braindance", a digital recording device that is streamed directly into the brain, lets the player experience the emotions, brain processes and muscle movements of another person as if they were his own. In dialogue with non-player characters are various choices, this also missions are initiated. Experience points are gained from the main missions, while side missions bring street credibility and unlock skills, vendors, locations, and additional missions. Missions are purchased by characters known as Fixers. Throughout the game, V is assisted by various companions during missions. Consumables such as soft drinks are used for healing. Items can be viewed in V's inventory Player decisions lead to different ends.
