Plot & Details
Sōma Yukihira is a 14-year-old boy who has just attended middle school. Since his childhood, his dream is to become a full-time chef in his father's bistro, Yukihira, and to outdo his father's cooking skills. To compete with his father, they organize for his friends again and again small cooking duels, which the father always decides for himself. But just as Sōma has finished middle school, his father, Jōichirō Yukihira, closes the restaurant to cook in Europe. Initially dejected, Sōma's fighting spirit is rekindled by a challenge from his father. Sōma is said to insist on an elite cooking school Tōtsuki, in which only 10% of students graduate. First of all, he has to pass the entrance exam, which is given to him by a high-class student, Erina Nakiri. She is one of the ten best students, the so-called ten-elite. Against their resistance, though his court convinces them, he is eventually admitted to the school. His aim is to become the best graduate of the school, as most students come from high places but have never served guests like him. He draws the grudges of his classmates on it.
In class, he cooks with Megumi Tadokoro, a notoriously strict teacher. The girl is shy and insecure, but although her classmates initially play badly, they can impress the teacher with Sōma's practiced and improvised cuisine. Sōmas accommodation in the spacious and spacious grounds of the Academy is the house Polarstern, which has its best times already behind. Here are eight other students, including Megumi, as well as the cheerful and permissive Satoshi Isshiki (一色 慧), which turns out to be surprising as another member of the tenth elite.
