The teacher is a German Dramedy television series about the teacher Stefan Vollmer, who is played by Hendrik Duryn. The first season of the series was already produced in 2007 for the station RTL, but only aired in 2009.
For ten years, Stefan Vollmer was no longer a teacher of chemistry, German, mathematics and sports. Now he returns to the school service and takes a job at the Georg Schwerthoff Comprehensive School. But that quickly turns out to be a real problem zone: where the eye can see, anarchy and chaos reign in the corridors and then Vollmer is also registered for the "G-course", the worst class in the entire school. But Vollmer is not so easily overcome: With unconventional and alternative methods and a different approach, he brings the students behind him, because Vollmer seriously cares for the plight of his protégés and gives everything for them - whether they are homelessness, crime or Eating disorders have to fight. Soon they change their attitude to their school and teacher.
