Ballers is an American comedy TV series starring Dwayne Johnson. The premiere of the first season was broadcast on June 21, 2015 at the station HBO.

For years, Spencer Strasmore has enjoyed great success as a professional footballer with the Miami Dolphins. But after the end of his active sports career Strasmore is in involuntary retirement and now has to look elsewhere for job opportunities. Finally, as a finance manager, he wants to use his expertise and connections to take on new talents in the NFL. This is easier said than done, not least because of the ego of the rising young stars, and then there are the excessive parties and greedy acquaintances that magically attract Spencer's luxury. But the ex-athlete can at least rely on the energetic support of his stubborn co-worker Joe Krutel - at least most of the time.
