About TV show Modern Family season 11
Modern Family is an American mockumentary comedy that premiered on September 23, 2009 on the US television channel ABC. The half-hour series, devised by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, is produced by Fox Television Studios. The show deals with the families of Jay Pritchett, his son Mitchell Pritchett and his daughter Claire Dunphy. On May 10, 2017 ABC announced a ninth and tenth season, after which the makers of the series indicated that they want to end the series with the tenth season. Contrary to this statement, the series was extended in February 2019 by an eleventh season, which was now also announced by ABC as a final season.
An unknown documentary accompanies the life of a family whose members could hardly be more different but still stick together when it matters. First there is the head of the family Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill), who is now married in his second marriage to the much younger Latina Gloria (Sofía Vergara), whose precocious son Manny (Rico Rodriguez) lives with them. Jay's daughter from her first marriage, Claire Julie Bowen), now has her own family, with her husband Phil (Ty Burrell) and her three children Hayley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter) and Luke (Nolan Gould) more often under their overprotective Control mania suffer. Jay's son Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) also stands on his own two feet and lives together with his partner Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and their adopted adoptive child Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons). With such a colorful family, chaos is often pre-programmed.
