About TV show Traitors season 2
Adaptation of the bestseller "Jerusalem: The Biography" by historian Simon Sebag Montefiore.
Feef Symonds (Emma Appleton) is an energetic and ambitious young British woman in her 20s, who wants to make something of herself in 1945 and has joined the public administration. Since her family largely ignores her and does not support her, Feef turns to her American-born friend, who eventually recruits her as a spy.
Immediately after the war, the British had voted out of their conservative premiere Winston Churchill, the Labor Party came by a large majority to the government. The US feared a British left-wing, which could have positive effects on the Soviet Union in the gradually forming new world order. So one wanted to have a look at the former Allies.
Feef must find himself in times with unclear rules and fronts and find out for himself what she really wants, what she stands for.
